Parvin's Pressure Washing
House washing in Chattanooga, TN

House washing in Chattanooga, TN

Soft wash for siding, brick and stucco. Most homes take about an hour.

What actually happens

The north and east sides of your house get less sun, stay damp longer, and grow things. That green film on the siding is algae. The black speckling is mildew. Both feed on the surface itself, which is why a garden hose knocks the color off for a few weeks and then it comes back darker.

Under the eaves and along the bottom two feet is usually worst. Rain splashes up from the ground and drips down from the roofline, and neither area dries out.

How we do it

Siding gets soft washed. Low pressure, and a cleaning solution that kills the growth at the root instead of blasting the top layer off. High pressure on siding is how water gets forced up behind the lap and into the wall, and how painted trim ends up stripped.

The solution does the work and gets rinsed off. Landscaping gets wet down before and after.

Questions

Will it damage my siding or paint?

No. Low pressure plus the right solution. High pressure is what damages siding, which is exactly why we do not use it here.

How long does it take?

About an hour for most homes.

How often should I have it done?

Every year or two. Shaded sides and anything under trees sooner.

Do I need to be home?

No, as long as we can reach water and the areas being cleaned.
