What actually happens
Windows are the part of a house wash people notice last and complain about first. Soft washing the siding puts a film of run-off across the glass, so the two jobs belong in the same visit rather than a month apart.
Most of what dulls a window is not on the glass. It is the screen, the sill, and the track, all of which collect pollen, dust and spider webs and then wash back onto clean glass with the next rain. Cleaning the glass alone buys a few weeks.

Glass, screens and sills, inside and out. Screens come out and get washed separately rather than sprayed in place, because spraying them in place just moves the dirt onto the glass you have already done.
